Restored Plant Floors for Smoother Operations
Concrete Repairs
A liquid-tight conduit manufacturer contacted us for help repairing their plant floors, which had numerous cracks, failing joints, and damaged concrete. These issues were disrupting daily operations and creating challenges for forklift traffic.
We began the project on Friday, carefully chipping out the damaged concrete to prepare the areas for the repair material. Next, we filled the repairs with an epoxy matrix, a durable blend of washed and dried sand mixed with epoxy, ensuring a strong and long-lasting bond.
The following Monday, we returned to saw cut the joints back into the repaired areas and filled them with polyurea.
Now, this customer has a fully restored shop floor, allowing for smoother operations and improved efficiency throughout their facility.

Acid-Resistant Epoxy Coating for Spill Containment Areas
Protecting Concrete from Acid Damage
We recently installed an epoxy coating for a customer in their spill containment area. Containment areas are crucial for keeping harmful substances under control. We determined that an acid-resistant epoxy would be the most effective solution for this specific project. This coating provides excellent resistance to nearly any acid typically found in production or chemical containment areas, protecting the concrete from potential acid damage and future environmental risks.
We started the project by grinding the floor for coating adhesion and then applied the acid-resistant epoxy, extending it up the curb for added protection. This customer now has a durable floor that protects the concrete in their containment area.
No matter the requirements of your containment area, Busy Beaver Inc. offers the perfect coating solution to meet your needs!

Transforming buildings to make the best first impression
Building Turnover
We worked with a real estate management company to prepare their building for showings by completing floor repairs and removing old green walkways.
The project began with filling multiple machine pads. For the larger pad, we used a scarifying method to ensure a level surface before applying an epoxy matrix to resurface the area.
To prevent future cracking, we saw-cut control joints into the pad and filled them with polyurea. The perimeter was also sealed with polyurea to complete the process.
For the second machine pad, we removed the existing foam perimeter and installed an epoxy matrix for an even, durable finish. We then ground off the green walk aisles and finished the surface with a clear epoxy coating for a smooth, sealed finish. We used a two-component polyurea to repair cracks and joints, an epoxy matrix to rebuild larger breakouts, and a high-solids product to fill bolt holes, ensuring a smooth and long-lasting finish. Finally, we completed a thorough scrub of the building to ensure the floors were spotless and ready for showings. The building is now fully prepared for showings and ready to support any prospective tenant looking to establish or grow their business.

Line Striping Installation for Freight Management Facility
Line Striping
We were contacted by a global logistics and supply chain company specializing in freight management and contract logistics to install line striping in one of their warehouse facilities.
Our team installed durable line striping to mark designated freight loading areas. Based on the customer’s operational needs, we planned and determined the optimal layout and spacing for each section.
The project began with taping out the layout, followed by the application of a high-visibility yellow epoxy coating for long-lasting performance.
With the new striping in place, the customer now has a more organized and efficient facility, allowing for faster and safer truck loading operations.

Smooth Transitions: Addressing Uneven Joints
Slab Grinding
Slab grinding addresses uneven joints, often occurring when one side of a joint experiences curling and sits higher than the other. This unevenness can create tripping hazards or cause damage to wheeled equipment. Our grinding process smooths the joint edges, ensuring a seamless transition across the slab for a safer and more functional surface.
Durable Epoxy Flooring Solution for Lab Expansion
Epoxy Coating for Lab Expansion
A plastic injection molding company contacted Busy Beaver Inc. to install an epoxy coating in their new lab as part of their production expansion and preparation for a newly purchased machine.
We began by repairing a damaged section of the floor using an epoxy matrix. Afterward, we prepped the floor by scrubbing for coating adhesion. Lastly, we applied an epoxy primer followed by a 100% solids epoxy coating.
The result is a durable and reliable floor, ready to support the company’s new machine and growing production demands.

Let your building shine!
Concrete Scrubbing
We worked with a real estate management company to prepare a building for turnover.
The floors needed a thorough cleaning, so we recommended a heavy scrub to restore their appearance.
We began by removing stickers and residue before applying heavy-duty degreasers. Using a multi-pass method, we scrubbed open areas with riding machines and detailed tighter spaces with hand equipment.
This warehouse now has a clean floor and is ready for its next tenant.

Epoxy Solutions Engineered for Machine Cell Durability
Machine Cell Coating
We were contacted by a leading provider of fiber-based consumer packaging solutions, including folding cartons, cups, and food service packaging, to install an epoxy coating for a new machine press area.
Joint filling is typically required in food facilities, so we started the project by filling all joints with a polyurea. We prepped the floor by grinding for coating adhesion.
For this specific project, we installed an epoxy primer and finished the project with a 100% solids coating in dark grey. A 100% solids epoxy offers more build on the floor. Epoxy coatings protect your concrete by providing a durable wear surface. They also stop oils and other contaminants from penetrating your slab, allowing for a cleaner facility.
We completed the work while the customer was still in production. This customer now has a durable floor for their new machine installation.

Organized Spaces and Optimized Operations
5S Markings
We recently worked with a manufacturer of residential and commercial door operators to install 5S line markings throughout their facility.
The 5S system is a management tool for enhancing workplace efficiency by organizing everything in a designated place. These markings promote safety, minimize the risk of employee injury, and contribute to a more streamlined and clearly defined work environment.
